Don West - Photographer

Don moved  from Pittsburgh PA. to Fort Lauderdale Fl. in 1979.  Although he missed the big city, Florida's beautiful sunsets, wildlife, oceans and blue skies made South Florida a permanent home for Don. In 1980 he graduated from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale with a Associates Degree in Photography. Over the years he also became proficient in computer technology and was able to combine these skills as the age of digital photography came about. Also an avid scuba diver he incorporated underwater photography into his portfolio.

"My love of Florida speaks through my photographs. People often comment how my pictures take them on a mini vacation or how they have been to that place but never seen it as beautiful as the photo. I love being able to photograph a scene that many people walk by every day and never notice the beauty in the surroundings."
